infusion therapy

Infusion therapy is a means by which medication is administered directly into a patient’s bloodstream through injection or intravenously (IV). Typically, this method is used when oral medications are ineffective, or when a patient’s condition warrants regular treatment. In fact, chemotherapy for cancer patients is simply a type of infusion therapy.

Evergreen offers a wide range of infusion therapy services, from yearly Reclast® injections for postmenopausal osteoporosis, to intravenous immunoglobulin for the treatment of autoimmune disease, to conscious sedation for a bone marrow aspiration – for our own patients as well as additional physician referrals.

Our infusion area is well-lit, comfortable, and spacious enough to accommodate family members; we also offer two individual treatment rooms for added privacy. It’s a relaxing and friendly atmosphere with access to laptops and the Internet, televisions and DVDs, or, if you prefer, a quiet window seat where you can read a book or magazine. Snacks and beverages are available throughout your treatment.

With every visit, Evergreen’s infusion patients receive the care they need in a dynamic, non-threatening, and encouraging environment – whether it’s a 15-minute injection or a four-hour treatment.
